has anyone hadto repair there seat bucket before.

on mine at the bottom theres a crack like in a triangle shape. the plastic is quite strong so it only flexs if you push on the bit thats broke

i was wondering weather my idea of drilling little holes either side of the crack and putting cables ties to spread the weight out more

any other suggestions appreciated. im not sure wat involves getting the seat bucket out of a nexus so that may be something to consider Cool

Plastic weld it if possible, or epoxy a patch underneath...

Right the crack has got bigger seems like either epoxy or to get some thin ali and pop rivet it on. im going to drill a hole either end to stop the crack going further otherwise the whole seat bucket will fall out Shocked

I am fairly sure that epoxy will not adhere to the type of material the bucket is made of. Another way would be to line the bucket with fiberglass and resin using a woven mat. That would be a permanent fix and very strong.

Plastic welding is THE answer, if you aint got one take the bucket to a good car repair shop they should have one. Wink
