as for the bits, no i asked and learned what it all did and then bought the bits that made the most improvement for the money spent, not just threw the credit card at it.. |

Can't wait till we meet Trev, we've got so much to talk about and so much in common. Next time you see me please find the BOLLOCKS to come and say hello.
As this isn't your first bike then surely you would have occured to you that fitting several parts at once will give no feedback as to what parts give what benefit.
BTW I was talking about me throwing the credit card. I obviously aint as rich as you as I buy everything on mine [/b] _________________

Thanks for those few kind & wisdom, I have encountered few scooterist that have the knowledge that you have.
Regarding the workings of this Honda engine in the 250ie, dont you think putting all of the tuning parts at once will benefit the tuning of the engine. I have tuned a few scooters inmy short time in scootering and I see no benefit of stripping the engine to replace a standard part and then build the engine, then see what the gain is, then strip engine again to replace a part, build engine then see benefit.
what an absolute load of bollocks you build what you build. In ta TS1 would you just put the TS1 kit on and nothing else,,, I think not. As for buying the parts, I buy what I want when I want & build what bike I want.
As for you Mr Smirnoff I have a few scooters & feel the nead for speed on all of them I would buy motor cycle but then. i would not have nice people like you to explain the nice things on my scoot.
oh by the way I will talk to you when we are on the same rally, day ride or even a night ride. Do not worry Phil I am going to talk too you mate. |

please, if you use an impact gun, use impact sockets, if the ones that come with the gun don't fit what you want to undo buy some that do, don't be tempted to use ordinary sockets as they can shatter and it can be a bugger to get the bits out of your eyes ouch! blind
shout at me, call me all the names under the sun, (seems to be in vogue on here at the moment ) all i want is for folks to be safe _________________

Thanks for the advice, Maver. I have just ordered an impact gun, but I don't think it comes with any sockets. So I will go shopping for the right sort as soon as I get it.

Impact sockets are flat black in color, and a bit huskier than the shiny chrome things.

The standard nuts are 17mm, if you are ordering any rollers it is worth getting a couple of new nuts, I got some from PM and the have a washer attached to the and are much better than the standard (Russ said this too)
They are 16mm though. Oh and the rollers went in 1500miles mate. _________________
