Shocked Ok apologies first no pictures taken , I have just got back with the new Polini Variator fitted and using the Malossi belt i also did a mini service cleaned air filter and did oil and filter change(am using standard pipe)

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

Oh blimey thats quicker !!!!! Shocked Shocked I don't remember it being that quick on acceleration before.
But you must remember my belt and rollers had just done 8500 miles , on examining them the belt had started to crack between teeth and my rollers were sporting some nice flat spots, so of course it would feel quicker maybe.
Also notcied how much tighter and responsive engine now was.

But there was a vast improvement on before and I cant remember it ever being this quick on acceleration before.

TEST DRIVE:

Well i went out for a little ride when fitted see how it felt and make sure all bedded in and done ok, felt fine so made my way back along A1 then M25 to my house total of around 65 Miles.
What I quote as regards MPH and rev counter is what my speedo says I know there all different and are not true but will use as my only sort of reference.
On my way up to fit parts if my speedo showed 75 MPH my rev counter was one bar under 9, this on M25 and A1.
On way back it was now showing 75 MPH but 2 bars under 9.
So seemed to be a noticable change there.
Also on way back noticed that taking bike from 70 MPH to 80 MPH on overtaking was a lot quicker and felt very responsive.
Due to traffic at this time of morning managed to get up to 85 MPH engine felt fine revs just under 9 and no sign of hittin the rev limiter which I was doing at this indicated speed before.

CONCLUSIONS:

Overall very satisfied with bike feels better all round , Items provided were of good quality and was no hassle to fit just took time and did it slowly all went ok.
It would be wrong for me to say this is it the answer to everything, but to me at the moment felt good, but please bear in mind where my engine was at previous to fitting i could have put all standard bits on and it might have felt the same.
Best comparable results might come if these bits were fitted to a bike who's engine had done around 3500 miles and had just bedded in and losened up a bit, against a standard one that would give a good idea i think.
overall at moment 9/10 and making me grin Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing :lol:and i feel it was worth while(and at the end of the day thats what its all about)

Thanks for all the advice and help from people on this site and special thanks to Mark (freestyler) for helping me do it and showing me the way.

Not strictly true, you need acceleration or you would never reach top speed.
I would sugest for steve, fitting the purple rollers that came with the kit.

Just to see.

have you had it on a real long run yet Steve? you may find it pulls given time to build up. I'm waiting till i've done the down hill stretch of the M5 before I decide, But I feel that i may go slightly lighter. As for the purple rollers, i've tried them and i got 90 out of them but the scoot just revs straight up to 9000 and sounds like, to quote buddyphil " a piza delivery ped". I like the sound of the scoot accelerating rater than just screaming, but thats just my feeling on it.
