You've all been bloody lucky on big bikes!!!

I got banned for 3 months for racing an unmarked cop car on my back wheel and have had a total of 19 points for speeding on sports bikes!!

Tried a SuperMoto, that didn't help just spent all day wheelieing, stoppying and backing it in to roundabouts!

The GTS does me perfect now, does 80, handles well and saves my licence!

Smudge..........Like everyone says keep the 250 till it dies then look at 300!

laterz

A mate of mine has just had a crank fail on his 300, early days and the 300 is yet to prove its as reliable as the 250. This is the second engine failure i've heard of so far since its release.

I was very tempted to get a 300, but in the end I resisted & am quite happy with my 250. Very Happy

Still got my P2 cutdown & am building a 210 PX - but to be honest not really sure how much use they will get next year...

I got a ticket for doing 58 mph in a 50 limit in a car. I was given the option of paying £90 and attending a one day speed awareness course, and I would'nt get any points on my licence. Went on the course, and the instructor split us into groups, then asked us to write on a flipchart, the excuses people give when stopped by the Police for speeding. Our flip chart had : 1) Late for a meeting, 2) Wife ill - got to get home, 3) Late for the speed awareness course ! 4) On a promise ! Instructor said that the first two were common, but the last two gave him a laugh Laughing Laughing

So I have a 250 and since the 300 came out I have an itch to get hold of a 300.

I bought the 250 about a year ago 2nd hand and always intended to swap it for a new one in March 09 when it's 3 years old. Now the 300 is out I obviously have my eye on one of these.

Is this a mistake? Am I better offer keeping the 250? (not withstanding finances were obviously I'll be better off keeping the 250 Razz)

Who on here has swapped their 250 for a 300? What are your thoughts?
On vrege of buying 250 on which you get rev counter, rear carrier, and cheaper. Suprisingly according to the brochure the 300 is hevier, for my opinion it is a con according to a scooter publication it should have been a full blooded 300 to compete with the 27 bhp of the honda shi 300,the best selling scooter in italy, sorry to ramble on cheers jimmeyg.

279.10 ccm (17.03 cubic inches)
Engine type: Single cylinder
Stroke: 4
Power: 13.00 HP (9.5 kW)) @ 8250 RPM
Torque: 26.00 Nm (2.7 kgf-m or 19.2 ft.lbs) @ 6000 RPM

Thats the spec for the SH300i............... not that impressive and not a true blooded 300 , just like the rest. drum brake at the rear and looks like something a girl would ride.... wouldn't catch me on one.
