So I have a 250 and since the 300 came out I have an itch to get hold of a 300.

I bought the 250 about a year ago 2nd hand and always intended to swap it for a new one in March 09 when it's 3 years old. Now the 300 is out I obviously have my eye on one of these.

Is this a mistake? Am I better offer keeping the 250? (not withstanding finances were obviously I'll be better off keeping the 250 Razz)

Who on here has swapped their 250 for a 300? What are your thoughts?

I sold my P2 and bought a 250 in 2006. However, my 250 had a wobble at low speed which I could not get rid of (tried Bitubo Shocks, heavier bar ends etc.), & I was never that keen on the styling so I sold it with only 650 miles on the clock & went back to a P2 and a Lammy TS1. Embarassed
When I saw the 300, I thought they had made a better job of the styling, and even though you effectively get less kit & features for your money I had to try one.
I think that the 300 is much quicker off the mark than I remember the 250 being, & it makes me smile every time I ride it which is a feeling I didn't get with the 250, and my geared scooter hasn't been out of the garage more than a couple of times since I got it.
Perhaps I just didn't give the 250 enough time & probably didn't put enough miles on it to really appreciate it, but it didn't give me the buzz that riding the 300 does.
So, for me it's no contest, the 300 wins hand down, until something more powerful comes along Wink

Me an lil pepy reckon there's not much in it.
Whoever gets the drop on the other is pretty much uncatchable.
The 300 has a little bit more off the mark but the 250 has slightly better economy. Top end is pretty much the same.
I won't be changing from the GTV until i have to.

I think the answer mate is; if you really fancy the 300 & can afford to get one, do it. Otherwise you'll just keep going round in circles. Decisions, decisions Laughing Laughing

Smudger, keep the 250 until it's either too long in the tooth or dead.
Then buy a 300.......may even have some decent colour choices by then too. Cool

Get a 300! Next year we're gettin red in the UK, which I've seen proper photo's of on a dutch website, and it does look really nice Cool . Have you had a test ride on a 300 yet? If not, you should have asked at Minorities Wink

P.S I don't think that fuel economy is that much of an issue really.

i'm sticking with my GTs250 until it dies........

it's too good to "give away" and to upgrade to a 300 is too much money to replace something that already does the job i want it to Wink

300 is a lovely scoot and i'll have one when the 250 cannot go on anymore Cool
