|

Had to ask even though I've just bought one. Not that you will be in any way biased of course, but why is the GTS125 any better than an ET4125 or LX125 for instance?
Surely it's heavier (so slower, less fun)
It's wider, bigger wheels (so less manouverable)
It cost's more money than either of the two other vespa's
Bit worried that I've just bought a big ol' expensive tank of a scoot - so it would be nice to hear what all the fuss is about before I pick her up tomorrow night.
Tell me I've done the right thing guys!!! |

Hi
I haven't riden one of these yet, but,
I can say you have bought the better looking scoot IMO
The performance is going to be about the same as the others but using
my 250 as a comparrison, the handling and comfort is better IMO.
Hope this makes you feel better _________________ SP4Y www.scooterparts4you.co.uk SP4Y |

well theres loads of reason why the gts is a better scoot, yes there heavier but that means they are more stable the the et4 etc and also just because there both 125 cc it doesnt mean they have the same output, the gts engine is a far better torquier and faster engine than the et4!
You havnt bought a lemon, well unless you compare it against the gts 250 which is a far better scoot! _________________ Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Thanks my good man - all the answers I so desperately wanted to hear but was afraid to ask.
If only I had a spare 500 bucks to up the engine output. Then of course I'd need the extra moolah to pass the test - damn those evil government regs!
Then again it will probably stop me ramming the back end of buses so often |

ET4 10bhp GTS 14.7bhp Nuff said. I've left my friend standing on his ET with my GT125. Top speed is about 5-10 mph higher. You can do your A2 test on a GT but not on an ET. Heavier weight makes it much more stable. Handles a lot better too but not quite as flickable in commuter traffic but better on dual carriageways. |
