They ok as a detterent but with any security alarm thats plug and play, if its easy to fit its easy to remove...

If you wanting a cheap alarm to scare off the casual thief or kids then its a good little unit, and has a decent spec...

If you want something proper decent with insurance recognition, then try Meta or Datatool. Wink

My GTS250 has one fitted and I have found it to be very good although I do seem to have a problem if the scooter has been left alarmed for more than say 3 days or so in as much that I don't seem to be able to disarm it using the keyfob without purposefully setting it off first by putting the key in the ignition and then using the fob to turn off.

Anybody else have this problem?

Mine's the same. After a couple of days it won't turn off with fob. I have to use the seperate key with the 2 prong connector Confused

HI, the GTS has got the built in immobiliser as standard which is a brilliant system as its never going to flatten your battery, and if someone steels it without the keys they aren't going to get it going.

I would opt for the alarm for extra safety and for the noise factor to scare people off but instead save up for some chrome goodies

The alarm disables the remote antenna after 48hrs to conserve the battery life. Use the dongle, or do as you are doing and set the alarm off, as this re-energises the antenna. Sounds like Star Trek, huh?
