I've got Schwalbe weathermans on my gts, the rear has done just over 2k miles and needs replacing, the front still has loads of life in it. I don't really want to put another weatherman on the back but am hesitant to mix the tyres because of different rubber compounds, lots of people swear by the raceman, wondering if this combo would work until the front needs replaced? |

I have the Sava still on the front and recently put a Avon on the rear, all seems good to me. |

I've ordered another Schwalbe but this time gone for the power track tyre, supposed to be harder. I've gone for the 140 rear section, does this make that much difference compared to the standard 130/70/12? |

Hi chaps
Just clocked 1700 miles on the original sava's. Just had it's 1st main service and the mechanic pointed out the rear is close to the limit. Steady riding style and mainly town riding but with the odd motorway blast. What sort of miles have you got from your's ? What do you recommend I put on ??
Cheers |

Mine had a Pirelli GTS on the rear and Sava on the front when I got it, I then replaced the Pirelli with a Conti Twist and recently the Sava with a pilot sport, all with no consequence in terms of mixing and matching the tyres. I'll go for a 140 Michelin Pilot Sport on the rear next to 'upgear' the scoot a little and get a bit more top end.... Pilots are nice and sticky _________________

re scootermans 1700 + miles ,I got my GTS 250 on 1 / 7 / 08 and i`m sitting at 2400 miles with the original savas - just under 1000 miles of that was on M way to IOW, hopefully they`ll see me through till spring as i wont use the scoot too much over the winter. They are ok -but i wont replace them with other savas ,as we`re planning going to europe in early June i want to replace them with something hardwaring to hopefully see me right through next season
suggestions............please _________________ Oohwallawallah

Balancing is defo the way forward...
The are a few dealers out there who say it's not necessary, I usually think this is because they don't have the machine... _________________

Always used pilot sports on my Gt200 until last rear tyre change, when all i could get was a Bridgestone hoop, its lasted longer than the pilot, and feels ok handling wise. Dont know if it will be the same on a 250 with it having more torque?? _________________ Scootering 4T style. |

2500 kilometers on my rear Sava and it's getting near the limit.
That really is crap, bloody hell, i manage to get at least 5/6000 miles from a rear tyre on my motorbikes. |

The powertrack is as soft as shit, my boy does one on his Dragster in 1500 kms,Raceman only, you might find the 140 powertrack touches the casing,I run a 140 on my Rear Wheel but you must change the hugger, did you not check the dimensions on the Schwable site, they all have different overall dimensions,Powertrack is only good if it`s raining constantly,ie. in scotland _________________
