After 2000 miles riding I thought I'd put a thread up on my findings to see if anyone else agreed!
I use my GTS 250 everyday whatever the weather for the commute to work. It is an 80 mile round trip and 80% of it is flat out on the M18/M62.
The engine has freed up quite nicely now and it zips up to 80mph (indicated) straight away. It very rarely drops blow 75mph (indicated) and I am hitting the rev limiter more and more now.
The brakes have bedded in really well now and they have a really positive feel about them.
Comfort wise it is fantastic, I've done a couple of big journeys on it and my arse didn't start to hurt until at least 200 miles had been done.
2 up is really good, with hardly any noticeable difference in speed etc, my missus really likes it, she was used to the slopeback on the Lammy!!
Overall it has been a definate thumbs up from me and worth every penny! BUT..........
It does suffer like all scooters from wind, it slows down abit in headwinds!
The mpg is not fantastic when it is thrashed along the motorway! Suprise suprise!
The sidestand is crap as everyone knows!!
My engine strat button keeps popping out of its hole (needs glueing!)
The speedo LIES!!!! I have checked the speedo with a GPS 4 times now at different speeds and all the way through the speed range it is bang on 5mph fast.
and.....you need ESP when you fill the tank, I havn't managed to fill up yet without spilling fuel outta the top or leaving a puddle on the forecourt!
Little points I know but just wanted to see if anyone else agreed with my opinion!
...............my Lammys have been Sorn'ed!!!

I aint hit 2000 miles yet, as these days im a fair weather rider and dont need to commute.
Hopefully mine will loosen up too, although i dont think theres much wrong at the moment.
When filling up i only go to the 1st click, not worth fookin around with trying to top it off.
Im very happy.....sold my lammy to get my GTS. It compliments my Runner lol _________________

Got my GTS and Lammy insured on one policy. Kept the Lammy taxed as it's only £30 - ish ? You never know, I might get out of my deck chair and take the Lammy for a spin on a gloriously sunny day in January ! |

Agree with just about all youve said When filling up though, just go to one click then give up.. it will pour out otherwise! |
