I had P.X 125 to start with, also had 2 Runner 180's & 125, Vespa GTR 125, another P.X 125 i even bought a brand new ET4(didn't keep it long), a T5 Classic which i,ve still got and love, had a G.P 200 that i sold to finance my new GTS 300(best thing i done). I also get a lot of stick from my fellow trad scooter riders, but i know its only a matter of time before they join the Darkside! |

Love the pictures of the LD I'm inspired! I can finally find a home for all those stickers I've acquired over the years!
Looks like I've hit a nerve at home on our club forum, just goes to show that the anti auto bureau make statements based on hearsay rather than fact. Hello to all those reading this from round here! WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON AN AUTO FORUM!!!!
Remember shovel of salt!

Well I guess I'm an auto ridin noob then.
I started out on a PX125, then moved to a 172 Dragster, then to a Triumph Bonneville then back to scoots with my GTS, all since summer 2006, oh and I've just turned 36 _________________

SX 200 in 1972/3 a bitsa 175 1973, part ex in for Vespa 200 electronic brand new M reg 1974, 1st in Blackpool, killed it 2 days later, 1976 P reg brand new 200 electronic, packed in scootering 1978 Married 4 kids etc, 2004 back! 150 Pacemaker C reg 200cc new engine, now sold, GTS 250 07 reg, Series 2 Spanish Winter model 250cc. By far the best is the GTS! Dont care what people think my scoots are for ME, they said the Rally 200s were shit! Hah, they became the work horse of scootering, untill the GTS came along! _________________ GTS250 its the future!!! A club wi owt a name sc. Bamberbridge. |

Between us Cretin and I have had hundreds, must be, but my own personal history is a Vespa 50 Special at 16, then a succession of Px125's a lammy that never hit the road cos it just wouldn't go! Then on to a couple of P2 cutdowns then an Li 150 (which I gotta say was shit hot) and finally a P210 Malossi custom Jobby which sadly never sees the light of day now we have the GTS300. She now resides at Rich's place of work as an example of his painting skills! It was definately the rest of our club tho that encouraged us to get an auto and now most of us do the rallys on our GTs's or other auto's. _________________ It's Evolution Baby!

i think if you're doing the miles the GTs is the scoot for the 21st century scooterist, it's not an easy or "soft" option it's the sensible option, just because i ride an auto doesn't mean i'm "anti" geared scoots, far, far from it, i love geared scoots, have owned loads and have the utmost respect for the riders, the GTs is a natural progression for the kind of scooterist i am, always looking for an adventure
what i do object to is folks who feel that their way is the right way, (whichever way that is, it works both ways after all...) and then try to force others to conform to their "right" way, we do what we want and go where we want, we're individuals, we choose our own path, we don't let people bully us into conforming and we don't bully others to conform
peace and big love _________________
