When I bought my new GTS I never received any info on the free one year Piaggio Assist recovery service from the dealer. Is this something that will be automatically forward to me in the post or do I have to phone them and register for the service myself ? |

one of the Darkside lads got left 300 miles from home with a holed piston as they said the cost of repair was less than the cost of recovery, oh yeah thaey would take him to a local garage in Morcambe, but he had to pay for the repair.
He ended up having his wife drive from surrey to morcambe on a sunday night to pick him and the bike up! |

One of our guys has a highly tuned GP. He had an accident at Euro Lambretta in Sweden. The bike was o/k, but not rideable. He had it insured as a standard GP with Carole Nash. They wanted to write it off in Sweden and fly him home. He had a lot of messing about with hire cars getting home, and they gave him a really hard time. There were even occasions when their left hand did not know what their right hand was doing, as he was getting conflicting information from them. He got a hire van instead of a car, and got his bike home himself. The moral of the story is to be very careful with your continental breakdown cover guys, and check the small print. |
