REAR SEAT & GRABRAIL LUGGAGE
using motrax hookers which you can find out more about BY CLICKING HERE and tie tie down straps featured HERE *CLICKY CLICKY* luggage can be carried on the back seat and grabrail of the GTs without using the rear rack.
motrax hookers in position on the seat.
straps for grabrail luggage 2 of them 95cms each suits my bag
as you can see i've threaded heavy duty key rings thru the loop that holds the cam buckle
strap for rear seat bag, 2 of these are required and as you can see this has also had heavy duty key ring theaded thru the cam buckle loop AND another strap joined to it, the buckle loop of each strap is now linked by the ring. the second strap can be another cam buckle strap mine is something i had hanging around. this will be called the "joining strap"
you'll also notice the strap that goes round the bag is knotted at the end, this is so it always stays in a loop and is easy to slip over the back seat bag and seat hooks and pull tight, it works for me. (it also helps to identify the straps so they don't get mixed up!)
detail of the join.
strap round bag and on seat hooks
both straps on my badly packed bag(!)
detail of buckle positions, bag strap buckle towards front of scooter, joining strap towards rear.
grabrail bag fitted, left like this it will bounce about and mark the paintwork.......
...........so we do this, lift the bag, thread the joining strap thru the grabrail bag strap rings and pull tight................
............bag is now lifted clear of paint work
to refuel just undo the joining strap and open seat. _________________
