these are brilliant value for money £1.79 a pair from wilkinsons, EXACTLY the same thing with a different header card will cost you £6ish in Halfords

streets ahead of "bungees" and far, far safer 
use a pair per bag, cut them to length, seal the ends over a flame and save the off cuts for some "Blue Peter" straps for footwell mounted luggage SEE HERE 
if anyone has trouble getting them then i'll get them and post them on.

damn i finished work. went in my work gear on the bus to get these and got the wrong bloody ones lol
My local didnt have the 2 in a pack but i brought the 1 slightly bigger one for £3 have to admit there the bollocks

I used my big strap yesterday from wilkinsons to bring a 2 stroke engine home. work perfectally. nice and tight. well impressed didnt even realise i had an engine on the back it was that secure

I was looking for some of these in Wilkos & they didn't have any, asked the 'assistant' and they looked at me like I was an alien!! 
I presume they are usually in the Car/Bicycle part of the store??

Yeah, Mav got me some and posted them as the Chester store didn't stock 'em, but the Ellesmere Port one does so I've got a few spares.
