Im looking into buying a new pair of winter gloves and as alot of you on here cover lots of miles and ride all year round i would be interested in your recommendations.
I've had it with cheap gloves and would rather pay a bit more for warm and dry hands _________________ Hey ho,twist'n'go! |

4Tdrag john had some good ones, think they were "Lewis" falcons about £30 so not expensive either
Rainham boy had some good ones too, not sure what they were but they worked!!
i've got Alpinestar "jet road" gore-tex gloves, about £80 and next to useless, the lining comes out as you take them off and if your hands get wet while filling up the scoot you can't get the linings back in without a coffee stirrer and then you can't get them back on anyway the amount of times i've nearly thrown them in the bin, i've cut all the silly velcro strap bits off too because they were a pain in the arse
i remember doing the first wet 80miles to woolly in them fine then doing the last wet 250miles in my summer gloves as i couldn't get the waterproof gloves on again
funny thing is they get rave reviews in scootering _________________

i got some gortex/thinsulate gloves by Bikers and have not let me down yet , paid £70 for them and had them about 9 months and used them in all the rain and cold , they have a goat skin palm and fingers with a textile back and hard knuckles with a zip and one wrist strap,
these are not too bulky and give a good feel for the switches and also the catch on my flip lid

Is there such a thing as waterproof gloves?
Doesn't matter how expensive the gloves are that I buy, they all leak after driving a hundred odd miles in pi**ing rain. |

Heine Gerrick own brand - about £30 and never let me down.
Completely waterproof, really warm in the winter but useable in the summer months as well. |

I've taken it a step further LOL. I wear plastic carrier bags over my gloves... and yes, I tape over the breathe holes too, even they leaked on the way to Mersea |
