Does anyone have experience with increasing the standard tire size on your GTS and how it affects the Dreaded Wobble!!??

I put a 140 on the rear had no problems ....the only wobble issues I had was when I fitted a topbox and forgot to put heavier bar weights on.....made to front shake like a good un Embarassed

My front end shakes, no top box on and with or without big rear tyre. I've tried a couple of different fronts and it still does it. It's only noticeable when I take my hands off the bars though. I've got it stripped at the mo so will try new head bearings before I rebuild it.

I asume that you have balanced your wheels and added heavier bar-end weights?

i run a 140 rear and a 130 front (waste of time, cornering not as swift, will go back to a 120) both balanced, heavier bar ends and only get the wobble when the scoot is badly loaded Wink

i have never been tempted to take both my hands off the handlebars at the same time Shocked

Just tighten the steering column bearings prolperly,
I can let go of the steering quite happily, the only time I get anything at all is when i'm FULLY loaded for a rally, and even then its nothing to worry about.

I've tried different tyres, wheel balancing, tightening bearings, top box on and off and it still does it. Hopefully it'll be gone when I get it back on the road.

One thing I've not tried though is the bar ends.
