I've had my GTS about 8 months now.

I've noticed that whenever I ride over slightly bumpy roads, but the throttle is closed, say as I slow up for a junction I always seem to get a knocking/clonking noise which sounds like it’s coming from under the seat.

Nothing seems loose and if you bounce up and down on the scoter when stationary it doesn’t make the noise, so it's seems to be related to what revs the engine is doing, with it most common when the engine is doing about 3000rpm.

Do they all do this ? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

It may be the clutch rattling?

Noticed that too on mine and was told by the dealer it's where the speedo cable is rattling inside the fork and steering tube. The swing arm and pivot points were in need of a good lube too.

It's definitely coming from the rear, under the seat.

It has gone into the dealers today as it has also sprung a coolant leak, so he’s going to have a listen, but he thinks it may just be the belt.

I’ve nothing to compare it to as I’ve never had an automatic before.
