Why not try and tie it with Kelso?
Leave Lands End early in week, aim to get to John O'Groats for Wed/Thurs, then trundle down to Kelso for Friday - where we can badger those at the rally to part with their hard earned dough for a good cause?
And you get a couple of day rest from riding before heading for home
That way it makes a trip into Scotchland worthwhile on two counts! |

Smudge, I'm interested in taking some part in it but doubt I could do the whole thing. I work with your mate Adrian, so I'm sure he's told you what a killer our shifts are. I'll keep an eye on the arrangements and see where/if I can fit in, as the cause is a very worthy one. |

No worries mate I understand you have a job I don't, rub it in
Seriously though this is one of the things I like most about doing the LEJOG people can meet up and ride with us for a little bit, take part and get all important sponsorship for our cause.
There are of course benefits too like I get to do something I've always wanted to do and raise the profile of this site , but most improtantly raise some much needed cash for H4H. _________________

Right I've left this for a little while as I've had other things to sort out @ home. What I would like to know now is, who is up for doing the full LEJOG with me?
I plan on leaving Lands End on a Friday and making it to John O Groats by the Sunday.
I will be looking at who can join us for bits of the journey later right now I just want to know who can commit to the whole thing. So only put your name down if you can commit to it all.
Please don't forget we need to be in Lands End on the Thursday and will not be back home until the Monday.
So who's up for it then?
Dates.. well I've been looking at the Rally calendar and April 17th start date (Friday) looks good, May is packed, June is Germany , July packed, August 14th as a start date looks good. However we can finalise dates amongst ourselves. One thought is to make it to the Bute rally (if confirmed) on the Saturday, just a thought. _________________

Are you hoping to ride back in one day? Arriving JOG on Sunday and getting home on Monday? Or am I reading it wrong?
April 20th is a Monday according to my calendar?
Not trying to be picky! |

Yeah you are..
My bad on the dates looking at outlook wrong. The plan is to get to john o groats around 1-2 o'clock then head back south and stay the night somewhere, so the journey back is possible in 1 day, does depend where you live though...
This is only a rough guide at the mo, things can be finalised once I know who wants to do the whole trip, amongst those taking part. _________________

I'd love to do it, be good to finally meet the GTS owners club! August could be tricky what with having to take holidays then cause of the kids school times.
Assuming most of you are around Norfolk I'm a further 3 1/2 hours down the road.
The current Mrs. Lodge has also reminded me that we're not around on those April dates either There's always one eh? |

The thing is where ever you live you have to do Lejog twice...
Home to LE
LE to JoG
JoG to Home
It's not like any of us are Ewan McBoorman and can get someone to drive the scooters to the start line for us in the back of a van while we take a flight / train... _________________

No takers for this? I'm happy to do it whenever it suits the majority, could be a top laugh and in aid of a great cause. _________________
