My GTS is acting up, I push the button to start, it starts then cuts out, I repeat the procedure it does the same, eventually I just have to gun it and go! It's not as if you can keep revving it to keep it going! What do you reckon oh wise ones?!

That's the only thing I've tried already last week, I initially thought that had cured it until this morning. Sad

Mine does this Try when it doesn't start to turn the ignition key fully off then turn it back on and try starting again this sometimes helps with mine, Instead of just pressing the starter button. Cool Cool Cool

mine used to do it ,this time of year
the fuoco does it sometimes
both lived/live outside
used to get it going then wedge a bit of cardboard
in between the grip to keep the throttle open slightly
obviously do this with the scoot on the centre stand Very Happy

I never thought of turning the key off then on again, I just keep pressing the button Embarassed The fault is almost like a carb icing up but it's fuel injection so obviously not that.

I had simlar probs last week on mine, i just put it down to the cold. Had a full service, belt & roller change today and it feels like a new scoot Smile The mechanic did say that the old champion plug in it was not the best, he also said that piaggio advised him to change them asap.

Sounds like a fuel injector dying to me.... Wink

Get it stuck on a ECU reader and make sure the ECU is able to lean the mixture off.... i doubt it can hence the stalling.

My local dealership went blank when I asked about ecu updates! Feeling brave, how hard can it be?! Smile But seriously how hard is it?

On the old digitek box its easy enough, youll know if its an injector failure as the parameters screen shows if its rich or lean, it should flick between the two as it adjusts.... my guess is it will stay rich all the time.

Is there any point running any injector cleaner through with the fuel?
