Hello, first post, first question - has anybody seen/tried the J Costa variator?
Strange looking beast. Scooter Trap in the U.S. is selling them.

Thanks,

Rub

PS this is me on my one month old GTS.

I have read some reports that it does improve performance and is smooth but there have been a couple of issues with installation, but everyone seems to be quite happy with the product. If you check over at http://www.MajestyUSA.com http://www.burgmanusa.com and http://www.scootertrap.com you can find additional info.

http://www.jcostacompetition.com/ - my Spanish(?) isn't very good so this site is usless to me.

Hi Stephen

In that moment we don't have any dealer in UK, so if you want purchase our product we can send it to you.

The price for that variator is 200 euro + 30 of shipping cost. You can pay it by Paypal(xpallares@jcostacompetition.com)

Thanks for contacting us

emmmmmmmmmm tempting Twisted Evil

I was reading on a Silverwing forum that some folks are not happy with fuel mileage after installing the J. Costa unit. I guess one of these days someone is going to have to be brave and try the thing on a GTS.

Personaly i wouldnt put it...

I'll go with the Italian brand..Malossi or Polini...

I was very very happy with the Malossi on my previous scooter
and all here in Greece uses both brands ALOT...with no issues..

Plus you can find them everywhere...

If i ever go with something I'll go Malossi...i trust them..but thats just me.

I would have agreed and still agree with what your saying about Malossi but....
There is one exception to this IMO and it's the 250 GTS variator, it's not up to the job but luckily for us the Polini one is much better.

J costa...........WTF?
