Had a spill on the way to work on Tuesday.Pulled away from the lights, got half way around the roundabout and the scoot was gone from under me sliding down the road before I knew what was going on!! the van behind skidded up onto the pavement to avoid me...very luck the driver reacted as quick as he did!! Been aching like fcuk all week Crying or Very sad

The insurance company are comimg to pick the bike up on Monday to assess the damage. Most of it is to the plastics, the only dent to the frame is in pic 4 near the indicator the rest is scratches

Anyone had any experience with damage like this ? hope they don't right it off as it was mint before the spill

Wish I'd taken the fcuking car now but there you go,it could have been a lot worse

Nightmare, glad it's just aches and pains you came away with. I haven't ridden my GTS for 2 weeks now cause there's just too much ice on the roads round here. I wouldn't have thought you're looking at a write off there though.

I have to ride daily too mate, i ride like a grandma when the weathers shitty and icy, dont care if i look like a knob, hope your scoots back on the road soon, i know it looks bad, but from your pictures it seems theres only cosmetic damage, as you said, it could have been a lot worse, keep smiling Smile

Its gonna be touch and go as its gonna need a full respray plus a lot of parts... might be lucky and get a contract repair.

Came off 250 on deisel spill on roundabout, put big dent in "side panel", but
less damage than yours appears to have. It was 1year old. Insurance wrote it off Sad . Main thing is , you are ok apart from aches and pains

Vespa are a pain, and lots get written off as the chassis is most of the bodywork... and any claim with "chassis repair" mentioned is not liked by the insurance companys.

Yes I agree with that. Scooter was in mint condition.

That's what I was thinking, the scoots worth ,what i dunno,£1600?? add up the parts then the astronomical labour charges,I got a feeling it's gonna be close.

Anyway, I'll let you know what happens.

Cheers for the well wishes

It would never blend in nice as it's laqured... And not to mention 3/4 of the bike is scuffed, it would be far easier to just paint the lot in one hit.

You need a nice high contract repair and wangle a deal on a 300
