After the service on Monday I have still got starter problems Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Spoke to the dealer again today because it is out of warrenty in 3 days and to be honest they have been very good...

I did mention this starter problem at time of service and as per usual it would not do it by the time I got to Barnsley.

They want the scooter to keep for a few days so they can get to the bottom of the problem.

I will post more info when they have the scoot Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Well spoke to Ron Daleys and it is not the starter motor/bendix. They took a new one of a scoot in the shop and tried it on mine and still did the same problems

They are now going into the other side of engine and have ordered some bits from Piaggio to try and sort the problem.

I will try and keep you up to date with what parts they are trying and if they sort the problem I hope this happens to no one else....

This might sound realy stupid but are you sure you havn't got a knackered battery.I only say this as you said the starter worked after a run to the service.Gave it a bit of a charge that quickly ran out.Just a thought.

does sound like possibly battery may not be holding it's charge check the charging circuit connection under the seat bucket near the hinge, this connection can corrode and cause problems Embarassed

worth ruling out as a cause Wink

Cheers Mav I will check this if they dont sort it But really I hope they do as they have the scooter for one week

I did think it could be the battery also and when they changed the blocked breather pipe on the service. But it did the starter thing on me after the battery was fully charge over night.

Cheeky they said they have found the problem your help needed please they said the part is a pinion or pinyin or something that sound like this.....

What ever it is it’s not in stock and got to come from Italy on an emergency order.....

So they will have the scoot for longer…..

They have been fantastic though at the Dealers…..
