Got my new wheels sorted today, well almost, muppet put the front tyre on the wrong way round (dispite me marking it up on a bit of masking tape which way it shoudl go) + he couldn't balance them Rolling Eyes

So I'm gonna have to take them else where to be sorted Evil or Very Mad

Also the front wheel hub cap thing (not sure if thats the right term) I damaged it so need a new one anyone any ideas how much? shouldn't be a biggy though..

Anyone know about this spacer Castle barber was talking about with his fuoco wheels, for the rear? I was under the impression that GTS & MP3 wheels were interchangeable without the need for a spacer.

Anyway I couldn't resist putting the front one on to have a look, and here it is...

What Minging? Laughing

Gonna get 'em balanced tomorrow hopefully.

Guy who fitted them was well impressed with the quality of the powder coating, very elastic, he reckons sometimes it can be very brittle and chips as soon as you try to fit the wheel.

Powder coating can be delicate, a lot depends on how its prepared... i tend to do the fancy wheels by hand with nylon levers.... would hate to mark one! Shocked

You wont need a spacer for the rear wheel, whoever fitted the wheels that needed the spacer, cant have had the disc mounting hub slid back far enough, and when they tightened the brace bearing up, it tried to twist the shaft causing it to bind.

The wheel doesnt actually touch the shaft anywhere, its not even used as a spacer... the rear end will fit together perfectly without even a wheel fitted.

When you go to fit them you will see what i mean Wink

my local tyre fitters balance my GTs wheels, they are an independant set up rather than a kwik fit or similar, could be worth a ring round.
