Just wanted to say hello and let everyone here know that we've started making a number of items for modern Vespas at ScootRS.

We have more LX items at the moment (are LX popular in the UK?) but a number of GTS items too. Most of them are unavailable elsewhere (or only in chromed plastic instead of stainless).

Here's our Vespa GTS parts section. You might get some ideas from our Vespa LX parts section of more GTS items we could make if there is interest.

We were actually contacted by some forum members which resulted in some new items being made, so don't hesitate to send us an email if looking for something new.

By the way, if interested, we also set up a special RSS feed focused on our modern Vespa updates: http://feeds.scootrs.com/scootrs_vespamodern

Cheers.

Hi,had one of your s/steel exhausts on my mallossi'd PX.Ran great but bits kept breaking. Then I tried it on a standard barrel and it wouldn't fit on the exh stub.Pity about the quality issues as it worked well with the mallossi.

Hi and welcome to the forum Wink

I've been told you guys like to make parts that appeal to scooterists so how about looking at making something like this for a GTS?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VESPA-PX-SCREEN_W0QQitemZ260348361928QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item260348361928&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A3%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

I'm sure they would sell like hotcakes if you got the look right Wink

Thanks.

>>s/steel exhausts on my mallossi'd px

We haven't changed the PX exhaust for years because no quality problems have arisen but with the heat and rattling of a tuned exhaust a few cases will no doubt happen, especially with stainless. You hear the same with all makes. We track all feedback and act on it where possible. Maybe an extra weld somewhere would help. Never heard of one not fitting the intended application though, but don't be shy to send in an email. If something was hitting and it didn't fit right we'd of course resolve it for you like normal.

Someone else emailed - I think from this forum - about something like this. It is quite involved to make. You think the current flyscreens that covers your hands are too tall and not integrated enough? Tough to find any photos of Vespas or Lambrettas with a fairing like that to get a better idea of how it could look on a GTS. You wouldn't want plastic covering the light itself, would you? Must reflect/interfere a bit, no?

The idea would be to have a sportier looking screen I would not mind if hole for light was open as you are right the light would get disorted. I'll dif out some pics with these screens fiitted to a PX Wink

Likely but not sure what item we'll do next. We're just finishing off our new Lambretta disc brake then we'll have more time. (And we're closing for New Year's here soon too.)

What new items do people most want to see? Or what is available but badly overpriced?

I cant speak for everyone but i like to see some modern accessories become available for the GTS.... Like :-

Small tinted screens that are a different shape and give you some hand protection Instead of chopping large screens down...

Different set of back lights that are LED and are bolt on bolt off accessory onto original fixings.

Different mirrors maybe like Spay style but they can include indicators like on some sports bikes

Back rest or luggage racks that can offer some side protection for the small passenger...

A different shaped under seat bucket (pet carrier) that may take a helmet

Modern hand Guards like this on SOELEY's fugly http://gtsownersclub.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=2398

Hi and welcome,
why not making some real GTS sport seats (like single slope back seats on new Vespa S)? If you want some ideas, i'm trying to make my own at the moment...pictures asap on forum.
