I've just had a 1 year service on my Gts 125 and the man at the shop said that it needed a new drive belt and variator slider guide thingy's i queried that it had only done 5111km but he said this is about right! I would have expected a lot more mileage (kilometerage), do you think he was just after whacking my bill up a bit? because he also charged me 25€ for a litre of oil because i told him i wanted the spec that it say's in the owners manual and he had to order it in.

El Bandito is right! i think a visit is in order with lots of abuse. i only went back to keep the warranty going, so i won't be using him again, as i'll be doing DIY serviceing in future, i did ask about should it have been covered under warranty and he didn't really answer. Stupid English man must have been is thoughts. Can i demand he get's in touch with Vespa and get my money back? What about the variator slider guide things should they have worn so quick? he said they replaced them because of the noise it made, but i didn't notice any noise, what noise would it make if they need replacing? cheers
