Hi
I've just put my scoot in for my 1st service & recall and when I collected it there 4/5 chips on the panel. They deny that it was them but it definately wasn't there beforehand and looks like they dropped something on panel. Bummer on my birthday too!
Anyway has anyone got any tips on touching up (No puns please!) paint chips? Its black so presume all black paints are ok?
Cheers Crying or Very sad

I did at time but they deny it was them. They went through rigmoral of explaining how they do things, not allowed to wear rings/sharp objects etc that bike was on ramp and working from below so how could they chip paint from above etc blah blah blah. I said that I wasn't interested in how it happened but that chips weren't there before and he denyed it was them and we went around in circles for ages. Chips are only small but near each other (also on exhaust side panel which is what they were working on) and their attitude as pissed me off as much as anything. prob is only Vespa dealer in Cornwall so have to use them for servicing under warrenty. Anyone know of one in Plymouth?

You can buy touch up kits from most dealerships Alec...had a similar problem with a shop here in Essex, went to collect the scoot and had several scratches, they denied it was them, but the scoot was less than a month old. Argument went back and forth for a few weeks, but they still only used a touch up kit on it...and not very well at that! Evil or Very Mad

Hi Thanks guys
Seems theres a piaggio dealer in St Erth which is nearer to me. Don't think they do Vespa ( I know they do Aprilla cos all the kids in St Ives have em!)but should be ok for basic service. I'll check it out.
Was thinking of some graphics for scoot anyway just have to make sur theyre strategically placed! Smile
