My GTS has a stutter at sustained high speeds in the 7500 - 9000 rpm range. This is definitely not the rev limiter but rather seems to be caused by the evap system not being able to supply enough air to properly vent the gas tank. You can hear the air rushing in when you open the gas cap. I'm not sure if the evap system is North American spec only or not.

mine had a problem the other morning coming home from work, I was doing 85 going down a hill and all of a sudden it just cut out for a second just like what a heat seize would feel like on a 2t scoot!!

Apparently this is a North American specific problem. We have a charcoal canister installed to ensure that gas vapors from the tank don't escape into the atmosphere. There is a check valve that is prone to failure which does not allow the system pressure to equalize therefore it creates a vacuum in the tank. Cheap and easy fix - cut the vent hose that runs from the filler neck to the canister. It has to be cut at the canister to allow any overflow to spill on the ground rather than in the engine compartment.
