Best place for a test run is on the way back from Wooly, M5, the down hill strech before Bristol, it starts with a long sweeping downhill corner and the hill keeps going for miles. I got 97 and no limiter on the way back from Exmouth and my mate was on the limiter at 98+, we're both on Polini variators. Give it a try, as long as the wind aint in your face that is. _________________

It seems all you guys over there talk about is top speed when you install an after market variator. What about acceleration times? certainly my top speed increased when I put on my J. Costa but by far the best improvement was the 2 second drop in 0 to 60 mph time. Any of you that have installed the Malossi or Pollini have any of those numbers to report?

Top speed MATTERS...especially when you are doing a couple of hundred miles or more to a rally
Acceleration is greatly improved too. _________________

i don't care if it takes me 2 seconds longer to get to 60mph if it means i can sit at 90mph instead of 80mph for as long as the fuel tank will let me on the motorway _________________

I guess riding styles are much different between the continents. I like to hit the high speeds as well but find the greatest joy in kicking Harley/V Twin riders ass in the stop light to stop light drags - not to mention in the twisty bits. I can get up to 88mph with a 130/70 12 on the rear and am seriously considering a 140 just to take me away from the rev limiter.
