|
|
Hi,
Riding along about a week ago, I noticed a rattle coming from underneath my GTS, it developed almost immediately after having the scoot back from a service as well as a visit back to the shop after a total belt failure.
Appart from a sense of humour failure, my rattle was discovered to be as a result of a sheered exhaust manifold bolt. The exhaust is being held on by a single bolt, which is now also working loose gradually, causing the rattle.
It is hard to tell if the bolt has sheered in tension, bending or torque, but i ntend to examint this closer when it is out.
The bolts are a real mission to get to and my dealer says the engine will need to come out.
I think this should be a warentee job, and the bolts should be stainless steel with copper grease and hex headed bolts.
So, what are your thoughts, had such an experience, what did you do?
Your help would be greatly appreciated. _________________ Vespa touring rulz! |

Any luck getting it sorted at the dealer?
I definitely vote for a warranty job. |
