Hi, new to the site. I saw a X8 owners club sticker on the back of someone’s X9 (surprisingly) and it got me thinking that there must be a GTS owners club out there. One Google later and I came across you all.

I own a red ‘05 reg GTS since new and have now done about 16,000 miles on it, mainly to and from work. Exhaust aside, I had very few problems other than with the ignition that need to be replaced but it was done under warranty to at least I wasn’t out of pocket. I would have liked to have the chrome kit and the small screen but just couldn’t afford it. It is my 2nd Vespa, my first one being an ET4, before then I had always lusted after one but was put off be memories of crashing my mates one into a wall in a pub carpark when I was 15!

My longest trip was from London down to Southampton to see a football match. It was pissing down and I arrived soaked through only to find out that the match was called off (waterlogged pitch) so I had to ride all the way home again! I took the car to the rearranged match!

I had intended to include a pic but I am struggling to see how!

Hi and welcome and yes red IS the colour to have lol but as all red ones are black according to the dvla, i suppose red is the new black!!
