I've had my GTS for a while now and when I bought it the guy had lsot the warranty book and only had the red master key. Does anyone know if I can get replacements for these also mines fitted with an immobilser/alarm and I've not got a clue what would happen should the battery in the fob go......can I get spares for this? and where do I get them from?
Any help more than appreciated

If you go with your Red key to any Piaggio dealer they can make copies
Make sure you dont loose that red key... _________________ Yiannis

Any dealer can get you a spare key cut, it will need to be coded into the immobilizer system using the master key you have.... but you can do it yourself so no need for the dealer to do it.
If you know the key number from the little metal tag you can get them mail order too |

If you go to a good locksmith ( one that does car keys ), and take your red/brown master key, they will be able to cut you a new key and programme it. They put your red key into a machine that reads the code, and they will then programme your new key to this code. It costs about £26 for this new key ( well that's what it cost me ) Tip ! : find somewhere on the sccot to hide a new key. No good being miles away at a rally with the spare key in the house, but don't use one of those magnetic boxes, they fall off |

My GTS came with a red master key ( that's what it's called, even though it's brownish in colour ), and a blue one. When I had my spare key cut, the new key was the same type of key that I have for my wife's Fiat Punto, which has a lage blue head. |

You know, when I typed that post, I thought someone would make that comment ! Seriously though, I thought it might be helpful for someone to go to a local locksmith, rather than make a special journey to a Piaggio dealer. Sorry to all Piaggio dealers on this forum if it takes business from them, but this advice has been offered in good faith. It's your choice. |
