Did you know that the rims of GTS are Made in China??
You can Check that from the inside of the rim and see.
I guess is not 100%

the firm i work for make domestic and commercial central heating and circulating pumps as well as pond pumps for many different companies including British gas and hozelock, we have castings made in portugal and china, the chinese ones are FAR superior in quality, up to one in ten of the portugeuse castings have to be scrapped due to being completely unworkable 
the chinese are learning fast and shouldn't be thought of as backward, they will be making EVERYTHING soon and we'll all be fighting for a job sweeping the streets...........
remember the crap British leyland used to turn out

Its funny cos the ones that they are in Italy are made from a company called

So I read in trade publications more and more of Piaggio's parts a made in china and shipped to Italy.
Zip 50, Zip 100 and Fly 100 are completely made in china and to be honest we never had much comeback on them.

i want to pull my wheels, polish the lips and have the rest powdercoated.

| Had to have a look at mine. 2006 GTS250IE wheels have "Made in Italy" cast into wheel spoke on inside. |

yes they are an alloy wheel, is the rim not already polished on the 300
