hi folks ,
new to this forum , only joined today- 15/12
I`ve had scooters since 1981 , currently a Series 2 and a P 2 disc , over the years i`ve had a couple of m-bikes , but im hoping to get a new GTS 250 early in the new year.
ive been thinking about getting 1 for a while now , more so since IOW this year when a road crew blew us away on M 40 coming back home.
i`m interested in your opinions on the standard pipe v PM or Scorpion options - im the wrong side of a 32" waist , so exhausts bottoming out on panel work is a no no !

Hello and welcome Wink

If bottoming out will be a problem cure it by fitting uprated rear springs from SP4U. They work, I can vouch for that. Embarassed Laughing

Hello Steve, the GTS 250 is the Cats conkers of scooters, even if I have had some cutting out problems with mine. Im running mine standard, theres plenty of power and speed, bit sluggish on tight country roads, high centre of gravity see. You said you were blown away on the M40 was it a red GTS with a wrong side of 17 stone rider? I came home that way, and was flat out most of the way, 80+mph 3rd lane, theres no going back to PX after youve ridden one. Twisted Evil

Hello Steve, keep it standard, they're not sluggish in factory trim but if you want a bit more noise scooterboy styleeeee go for a PM pipe but fit a pair of the SP4Y uprated rear springs Cool

or you could hang on and wait to see how the leovince pipe performs....

and there is a Gianneli pipe on the way.......

fit the springs, wear the std pipe out and await the results Laughing Laughing
