Hello all....

For those who dont know me...

At 16 i went to college for City and Guilds 1 and 2 and an advanced GNVQ in mechanical engineering, ended up at John Grose Ford dealers for a year as needed a work placement to do the City and guilds upto level 3... then got an apprenticeship with suzuki so went to ARs...

...back in them days we were also Yamaha, Piaggio, Malaguti, Puch, Tomos and Peugeot dealers too... so i did all the training courses on them to get a whole shed load of training certificates!

Thankfully we ditched Malagutis when they went cheap and nasty... then ditched Peugeots when the Jetforce became so unreliable, we stopped doing Yamaha as they wanted us to be Yamaha only dealers not multi franchise in the same building... and then Suzuki took the dealership away to give it to CJ Ball in Norwich as they had just been shafted by Honda and Lings Laughing

So now its just Piaggio range we do... Piaggio, Gilera, Derbi, Vespa, Ape, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi.

Although as i still doing the Yamaha and Suzuki updates we can still do service work on them without effecting warranty etc... Very Happy

Current bike is a 2006 Aprilia RSVR1000 Factory edition... (the one in my siggy picture)

... and the name is Tom... not thomas. The thomas bit is a old school day thing from teachers telling me off... it was on one of my school reports and has stuck ever since. It was something along the lines of....

"Young cheeky thomas has a sense of humour that some teachers and pupils dont appriciate..." Laughing Laughing Laughing

So basically... thats me.

If we werent a dealer then it would be a nightmare Wink

Its now done just over 1000miles and in that time its had a new LH fairing as it melted, 6 yes 6 new rear indicator units, a new clutch and rear brake master cylinders, a new ohlins steering damper and just recently a new rectifier and wiring as it melted Laughing

But when its going its fab... from the crate its had full titanium exhaust, PC3, Airbox removed, Tuono Inlets, AF1 1060cc kit, crank weight removed and down geared slightly so goes very very well Twisted Evil

Just wish i was good enough to ride like it wants me to now... Embarassed

I love the old TLS, even without the steering damper they were fab.. it was only the girls that worried about the handling.... it was only a little headshaking... and the early pre-recall ECUs were so grunty... why on earth they recalled them to tame them is unknown... If you cant take the heat get ya arse out the kitchen! Laughing
