If anyone else is finding their MP3 horn a little like a gameshow buzzer, as I did, me and Maver (mostly Maver) fitted a Stebel Nautilus Compact into mine yesterday and, although it took a bit of headscratching and coffee drinking, it turned out great.
Half way through the headscratching I remembered the original inspiration for the choice of replacement: -
http://www.modernvespa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22573&highlight=stebel
The instructions are good and they are right about the cable run under the footrest being the nastiest part.
Then Andy up the road fitted a Stebel Magnum in Maver's scoot in under 5 minutes :/ I reckon the MP3 isn't quite to modification friendly, eh? _________________ Do two and 1/4 rallies mean I'm not a scoot noob anymore? |

We considered a lot of gaps, but most were too tight a squeeze (ooer!).
It ended up as per the Modern Vespa instructions, cable-tied to the wide plastic 'spar' behind the console under the grey panel that sits under the screen.
With a Nautilus, the horn ends up pointing into the wheel arch and the sounds comes out very nicely _________________ Do two and 1/4 rallies mean I'm not a scoot noob anymore? |

Has any one fitted one to a Fuoco yet? if so where?
I've just had some panels off and the only place I could come up with is front right hand side (as your sat on it) tucked right up behind the dash. I think it will mount to the front frame work using some insulated P-clips.
Got tha Stebal Nautilus for a bargain from Halfords. They are relocating about 300 yards away and have a masive clearence sale on. 75% off thicket price, the horn had £17.99 stuck to it. Went through the till at £10 then the 75% was deducted. Yes, thats right I got it for £2.50
So I went back in and got the last one _________________ Gilera Fuoco 500ie
