|
|
Has anyone had problems with battery drain on the genuine Vespa plug and play alarm.
I fitted one about 4 weeks ago and although its really good, easy to fit and works a treat I have gradually had increasing problems starting up in a morning due to lack of juice. I have disconnected the alarm and recharged with my optimate and for the last couple of days there has been no problems and it starts imediately.
strangely enough though for the last 2 weeks prior to disconnecting the alarm I wasnt setting it so I am confused as to how the alarm could have been draining the battery.
Any ideas or should I just bin the alarm |

I got mine fitted by the shop when I bought it 21 months or so ago and have never experienced this problem, the only time I had a problem starting it has been in very cold weather but even then it still starts up ok after a little while (but not instantly as normal)
not much help I know, but at least in theory it should work ok _________________

Actually scratch that one as it must be coincidence because I went out at lunchtime after posting this problem and the the same problem was back, hard to start and keeps cutting out at junctions until the engine is fully warm so obviously it isnt the alarm after all that. Anyway its booked in at the dealers next week for them to look at. |
