Hullo, folks - noticed today on a short trip this coming on briefly after an A12 blasr when pootling at the other end.
Any ideas on what to check or do or should I run it along to the garage?

Did it still seem to run fine? If so then chances are its a sensor issue or charging gremlin...
Ive also seen a rise in lambda sensors packing up in the past 12 months. |

It is behaving a little strangely. Keeping my throttle dead still while going about 20mph the power has blipped up and down a little on its own. Also, when then putting some power on it seemed to lag before picking up.

Hmm - took her for a spin yesterday and there's no sign of the issue. The lumps all seemed to have smoothed and the indicator stayed off.
Any chance it was some 'bad fuel' causing it to get lumpy and think things were wrong? Something like that?
Should I be using 'special' unleaded or steering clear of any particular stuff? _________________ Do two and 1/4 rallies mean I'm not a scoot noob anymore? |

i had a similar thing on my gts ,
found the exhaust was cracked around the lamba sensor allowing more air in and the ecu trying to over correct.
might be worth a look _________________ Darkside, Norwich Broadsmen SC

Thanks - I'll have a check... now where is the Lambda... I'm guessing there will be wires heading to it? I'll check around there... _________________ Do two and 1/4 rallies mean I'm not a scoot noob anymore? |

Look at the exhaust where it comes from the engine and youll see it... not heard of it on a MP3 so very much doubt it... more likely a dodgy sensor or charge fault |

Steer clear of supermarket petrol. For the amount of fuel it takes to fill a scoot, I always use premium uleaded. Why buy a performance machine and run it on cr*p fuel ? |

Both me car and bike have to be run on super... the car runs so badly on normal fuel the ECU puts it into safe mode and it wont do more than 25mph... as i found out just after i first got it |

Ditto, the GTS runs so much better on V-power, and my Golf suffers from a nasty flat spot before the turbo kicks in, if I don't run it on Super unleaded. For 50p more a tank, it's definitely worth it _________________
