Hi All,

Just to introduce myself although I have just swamped the 300 threads with a quick personal review of the 300 and a comparison to the standard GTS and GT60 - I know quite a few of you wanted to know if there was - and how big - a difference. Very Happy

I have had two scooters so far having been introduced to two wheels by my younger brother only 3 years ago. He is a fan of the old school though with an old lambretta and I couldn't be arsed with all the gear changes and the poor reliability - much too old for that, eh (A sprightly 46!)

I thus bought a GT125 and absolutely loved it - couldn't believe why I had never tried it before (a bit like the feeling I got when I discovered skiing at the ripe old age of 30 - oh, to be young again!!) and spent more time on the scooter than I did in my car Very Happy

My brother then told me about the ltd edition GT60 and I made an out of the blue phone call to my local dealer to see what the state of play was? I already knew really as I had searched the interweb and had been repeatedly advised that they were all sold and destined for museums, etc. Sure enough, that was the response I got from the dealer but he said he would make a quick call, at my request, to Piaggio to see if there had been any cancellations - some hope, eh!

Anyway, half an hour passed and he rang me back and said I would not believe it! 10 minutes before he made the call, some old dear from italy had rang Piaggio to tell them that her husband had passed away and that he had received a letter from them confirming his allocation of a GT60.

Within the next 20 minutes I had faxed my info off to Piaggio direct and had transferred the obligatory 5k into their bank account - RESULT!!

I took delivery of the GT60 nearly two years ago and she is a beauty - I even managed to get the plate from DVLA - T60 VES.

I have now put around 3,000 miles on the clock and had on order a new white super 300 with the intention of putting the GT60 into semi -retirement.........

I tried one last week though and cancelled my order the next day........check out my other post for the reason why!!

Anyway, my fingers are hurting now from too much typing!
