Anyone else had a similar problem? I swear it didn't used to do this...
When turing left sharply (especially so with a passenger on) something makes an almighty scraping sound which I rectify by putting more weight on the right side.
I'm guessing it must be the foot catch thingy of the side stand which looks to be the most prominant bit of metal sticking out. I don't recall it doing it a few months back though. Maybe I bent it outwards a bit more when using the stand.
If the garage that services the bike lowered the adjustable suspension setting would this have affected it as well (not aware they did but I certainly haven't)..... |

I don't mind it though - even though it does feel flimsy as hell I use it now and again... |

it's not flimsy, it's quite well made, it's just that's it's self retracting (euro legislation) if the weight comes off the scoot (wind / enquiring passer by etc etc) the scoot will be on the floor quick as a flash. _________________

still more likely to be he main stand grounding though. I never grounded the side, but the main stand is quite easy to rub up the wrong way _________________

180trev is spot on....
The part of the stand you use to put the stand down is very easily bent, and is further out of position than it should be... stick the bike on centre stand and then with the stand up, bent the foot piece back towards the bike so its tucked out of the way more. |
