Being a bit on the heavy side (15st) I can help but feel that the defalt preload setting is a little on the weak side when encountering those inevitable potholes and cobbles on Edinburgh's roads.
Any views on the best setting out of the four on offer, or should I be contemplating new springs the next time I hit a crater at 50mph?

Got mine on setting 3, which is fine for me but it bottoms out loads 2 up... will try the hardest next.

Interesting... Don't always believe what you read in the Piaggio manual! Perhaps stiffer springs are in order if I ever want to consider 2 up!!! That seat only has so much padding after all Wink
