Anyone upgeared a GTS?
Are the gears the same for the GT & GTS?
Will the GT upgear work for the GTS?
How many teeth do the stock gears have on both the GT and GTS?
Figured I'd ask before tearing the bike apart to find out....
Any shops doing this kind of work?
thanx in advance.....
R

I have the same query as you but am just gonna go in and do a count up and compare to GT200 gear up.
I seem to remember someone at a well known distributors telling me the kit will fit but what percentage is gained is unknown right now.

From what i remember, the nexus 250SP is slightly higher geared than the GTS... but dont know if it would be worth the effort if its not much... again need to count the teeth really! |

But don't forget the big rear wheel on the nexus so it's probably a lower gear kit but the wheel size makes the overall gearing higher!
Won't be no good unless it's wheelies your after! |

Indeed that is probably right.... didnt think of wheel size...
So we have to hope GT125/200 are the same size then, didnt think they were though, but never checked the 2 side by side.... Ill leave that to you Russ! |

As the Quasar (250) engine is basically the same as Leader (125/200) engine on the transmission side so the gear kit will definatly fit but how much gear up there is we have yet to find out. |
