Hi, I have not got the brown key for my gts, if the battery goes flat, will it start by the blue key????? (I only have the blue key)

yes you can restart it with the normal key...mines always going flat,i jump start it with a powerpack and it always restarts fine.
i think you only need the brown key if you have a problem with the immobilizer or if you need to get more keys cut/reprogrammed etc.

You can start your GTS with a battery pack, or with jump leads from a car or another bike/scoot. If you jump start off a car, DO NOT start the engine on the car, as the car's alternator will put too much power into your battery, and the power surge it causes will damage your electronics.
The brown key is used to 'open' your scooter's E.C.U, ready to programme in a new blue key. If you don't have a brown key, get yourself down to a good locksmiths urgently. They can cut you a new key off the blue key that you already have, and they can copy it's code ( it's called cloning ). If you don't get a spare key for your GTS, it will be expensive if you lose your current key. There is a comprehensive thread on this subject somewhere on this section of the forum. |
