hiya all, would like some advice from someone that knows the difference between the 6 roller and the 8 roller variator

i fitted mine yesterday as well as a new belt

good points.
smoother
quicker acceleration
more snappy to get past cars
faster top end

bad points
at 80mph the torque that used to be there seems to have gone, it does still go fast but seems very flat whereas it was just picking up before

i have only done about 25 miles, im more worried i havent fitted it right, (i did make a diagram to stop this though)

the bike now does 108mph on the digital readout and does over 172kms but you really need to push it ad duck behind the screen

before i just wacked up to top speed and bounce off the limiter at 105mph or 169kms.

now it doesnt hit the rev limiter at all does around 7700 revs at 108mph

is this normal or am i just being stupid

what i dont get is it being quicker and actually faster but i would like the torque at 80mph back it is still there just not as much

does it all need more wearing in as it seemed a bit better after the first run lol but not much

cheers

Its due to the ramp angle, theyve effectively moved the torque curve to make it more user friendly at the place most people spend the longest time... the 0-80mph area...
