It's great, but a bit too tall for me, cutting it down is not a problem. But is there a sceince as to the ideal height? It currently is just bang on eye level for me, so the edge is a little distracting.
Just wanted to know if maybe nose or chin high is prefferable?
Went out for a ride and it was sooo much more quiet and a lot less buffeing. gc grin _________________ Gilera Fuoco 500ie

Well the screen is now 2" shorter, you can only probably tell by gauging the top against the mirrors.
Tools used and the bit I cut off.
The cut edge after usuing the adjustable file
And after polishing it up.
Done a better job than original , the off cut is the bottom edge.
Been out for a short ride, it's better than before so am going to leave it for a while now to see how it is. You never know I might go for another inch. As it is though it's just about level with the tip off my nose. _________________ Gilera Fuoco 500ie

nice work, I'm impressed!
I would have assumed cutting it yourself would have made it look like a dogs back leg! How did you measure and mark off the bit to cut off? Looks professional
Never seen a file like that before _________________ GTS 300 is here and I LOVE IT!!!

Thanks
Start off by taping a piece of paper to the screen (big enough to cover the top part), Using the edge of a pecil lead mark the profile of the screen and cut out to the shape. Move the template down by how much you want and draw around the template. (Use masking tape on the scren to draw on to.) Make sure it loks right before you start cutting. _________________ Gilera Fuoco 500ie
