Thanks for the warm welcome everybody!
To pick up on smudger's pt re: knowledge sharing finding this forum has already given me a couple of nuggets:
- i didn't know you could change the tripmeter to miles rather than km updated today!
- i now know the popping on the overrun can be reduced by running in after a battery reconnect for 15mins
Cheers all! |

|
|
Hi All ! i picked up my Gts 300 on saturday in the pouring rain , understandingly i felt very nervous, i drove home like a true grandad very dissapointed that i couldent experiment more .
Sunday was a different story the sun came out and i was up for it ! the acceleration is deceptively smooth with a satisfying grunt as you pulled away, id had the suspension taken up to hard and found the balance somewhat unusual but after 15 or so miles, man and machine were as one.
still fighting the urge to change gear at 20 mph i soon got used to the smooth ride and the lazy ride it had become, why the hell had i not done this years ago ? . I took her out on roads i knew well and tested the brakes and handling all of which were very impressive ( emergency stop ) very controlled ,all in all i went home with a cheesy grin on my face ! and im afraid my trusty PX200 will prob remain on SORN for quite some time.
