I'd maybe check that the clamps on the carb are not loose.

is the throttle cable adjuster tight at the throttle body? (use 2 x 12mm spanners) just need a little free play with before throttle starts to operate.

check the lamba senser is tight on the exhaust downpipe (i use a large adjustable, but that's when the pipe is off the scooter) if it's a bit loose it could draw in cold air and the brain will try to correct by adding fuel and revs will rise, then fall in a pattern.

what exhaust are you running? some scorpions have been known to crack round the lamba sensor boss giving the above scenario.

smudge it hasnt got a carb!

maver the throttle cable adjuster is too loose! more freeplay than the spec! just havnt got round to adjusting as russ said!
also the revs to drop back down to normal after 10 secs or so,

will check the lambda sensor,

i am running a standard setup with a standard exhaust.

just another thought......

does the grip snap back to fully closed when you let go of it or is it a bit delayed or sticky????

may need a washer to space the bar end out if it is sticky.....

lad at work had this problem and loved the "cruise control" effect it gave him, until he cruise controlled into a wall Razz

After having my exhaust off to change tyre, I'm getting this again. Revs at idle are about 3000 and won't drop. Lamda sensor is ultra-tight.

When I put the LeoV on the scoot, the exhaust stud came away from the cylinder head, but I simply screwed this back in until tight. Could I be drawing air into the cylinder where the exhaust manifold meats the head? I may have to loosen all exhaust retaining bolts, and try again to tighten this nut further if this is the case.
