If you fit a 140 back tyre do need to make any modification to the rear hugger???????

depends on the tyre funnily enough....... not all 140's have the same rolling diameter......

i have a 140/70-12 pilot sport on my GTs and just to be on the safe side i undid the hugger fixings encouraged the hugger up as far as it would go and re tightened them, no problem.

i believe "airmech" has used a schwable 140 tyre and had contact issues with it, possibly swapping the hugger for another piaggio model that has same engine but bigger rear wheel (x9 evo 250???) get in touch with him, he'll let you know.

I've just fitted the bridgestone hoop, size 140. I did not need to adjust hugger, but I'm now on my tiptoes, as it's that much bigger. I've had to refit my scren also to get the benefit.

I have a 140/70 Schwalbe powertrack tyre on rear and there is plenty of clearance all round, mind you I did fit a new hugger as the old one had been chewed to bits by a previous tyre at some point in the scooters short life!
