Man I have been test riding some new rear end suspension mods that are incredibly simple, and now are being manufactured by Jettin.
They are high durometer shock bushings, that help to prevent "walking" in the ass end of the GTS.
I put the prototypes on, and went for a really aggressive ride, and the things are seriously amazing. Only 30 dollars U.S.! That is easily the best suspension modification I have done to my scoot.
The thing tracks much better now.
Try these.
If you ride a lot, and you go fast, you will be glad you bolted these up. They are really night and day. My GTS holds a line now so much better.

Check it out at jettin.com.
I am not affiliated with Jettin, just doing som "beta testing" of a new product and the product turns out to be a winner. I know some real riders come around this forum, and wanted to let you guys know about these things.

from what my feeble brain can work out these replace the 4 rubber doughnut bushes where the rear shocks bolt to the body.

it seems the new ones are made of a superior material that resist the lateral forces much better helping reduce the sloppyness of the GTs (etc) back end Cool

Truth. It is the lateral motion that the stock bushings allow, that these higher durometer urethane bushings reduce a TON.

I cant believe how much these things changed the bike. You will be amazed at how the thing holds a line SOOO much better after getting these bushings on your bike. So simple, and incredibly effective.

If youve got lateral movement of the rear wheel.... the engine mounts are dead... even when the shocks are disconnected there shouldnt be any lateral movement as the swing arm is a fixed pivot point.

Using poly bushes will stiffer the suspension slightly while giving a harsher ride... you can get them from polyflex, just tell em the dimensions you need and they will supply a split bush with insert, when the X9s were in high sales, the top shock bushes used to wear and werent sold seperately, we used to fit them nearly weekly.
