Adding the avatar thingy was dead easy However, had no joy at all when trying to follow instructions for adding a foto
Have a website thing with fotos on, but none of the sort of HOST buttons or options!
Tried adding the URL several times, but no joy
Is the type of site the important thing here? I use Multiply. Don't really know owt about it, but it allows peeps to view my fotos and I was going to use it as a way of club mates to show thier scoots etc.
Any more help pls?

shouldn't be a problem if as you say you have the picture "hosted" on a site like imageshack or photo bucket, just copy the address ("url") of the picture and paste it into your post.
you may need to add the [img][/img] tags either end of the image url if your hosting provider doesn't already do this.
practice in this thread delete you mistakes _________________

tried half a dozen ways, still can't get it to work.
Can't see why the software code that allows uploads from a P.C can't just be incorporated into this part of the site. I'm not a software expert of course, but if you can do it in one area, why not another?

Its to do with the size of the webspace storage m8. Too many big pics = too many gb's = more cash for more space.
Avatars and the like are very small in comparison. How exactly are you having trouble?
Have you tried right clicking on your pics and copying the the URL = example (http://www.multiply.com/mypics/pic1.jpg)from the properties box?
Then copy and paste to this site with the img tags [img] [/img] ?
Right click on my german tour signature and goto properties & you'll see what i mean. _________________

I would suggest http://www.photobucket.com it's quite easy.
They have user friendly links for every picture. Even one that says "for display on forums and chat rooms" that allready contains the [img] on each side and all you have to do is click on it...it copies it for you.
