Mate of mine wants to remove the passenger foot rests on his fuoco (so he can block them up and re-fix coz his missus aint very tall), he's undone the 2 screws, but they dont come off? He doesnt want to force them off just in case theyre bolted from underneath? Anyone know how to do it?

I'm going to do the same for my Mrs. I'm just going to remove the chequer plate though and put blocks under them. If this is what you mean then undoing the two mush head bolts will relaese the plates. f they're tight use a small screwdriver and lever through the bolt holes. They should come off a dodle.

Its the plastic piece underneath he wants to remove and block up, it looks like a seperate piece to the main bodywork, but no visible way of removing it??

I'm not sure about the plastic part under the plates.

But I think he might be making work for himself, my idea is to cut some blocks just a bit smaller than the plates then wrap the plate with some of the alloy chequer plate from B&Q so that it matches the actual plates. That way you only need to undo the 2 bolts to remove them (longer bolts required obviously Wink )

If you make the job permanent or more fidley to remove you'll struggle when you need access through the covers in the sides i.e. getting to the spark plugs.

Cheeky, the parts i'm on about are shown on the fuoco parts catalogue (which you kindly posted) see link below.

If you scroll down to page 22 and look at TAB.02.09 parts 41 and 44, they are also shown if you scroll down to page 61 - High left passenger footboard part 41 and High right passenger footboard part 44.

Sorry to be a pain, but he doesnt want to damage the bike by forcing these footboards off (he has already removed the screws which hold the checker plate down), if they are fixed from underneath. It may just be that they are wedged on tight, and just need some gentle persuasion?

Failing that, its back to Big Ian's idea Shocked

Fuoco and MP3 footboards are one and the same... and yes its a Fuoco pic.

I guess you mean the rubberised trim then, that has the metal plate attached to it... if so unbolt the metal cover, undo all the screws underneath it, then remove the belly panel and theres another 2 under there.
