This is going to sound even more nooby than my normally nooby questions, but one day I'll have asked enough questions to not feel like a noob anymore, eh?

While I was under the scoot recently putting the LV on, I realised it had built up a LOT of dirt and there was evidence of corrosion and salt deposits.

So, the question is: What is the best way to protect against this sort of crud or at rleast educe it?

Leave on this 'protective layer'? Wink Pressure wash? How often, ideally? Is there anything you want to avoid squirting high-pressure water up into? Anyone used an easy 'treatment' to protect the underparts once they are clean?

I've been looking for pressure washers on Fleabay. Even restricting the search to Karcher, there's still an enormous choice. Anyone know what is a minimum bar pressure to get the crud off?

Ta folks.

Personally I'd clean it off then use something like ACF 50 to protect against salt & corrosion. But then again I'm not that much less of a noob than you Wink

I use a good degreaser and then hot soapy water and when rinsed clean I give everyhting a good old spray of WD40..........done this one all my scoots for years and seems to work, however I do not tend to ride so much in the winter months anymore so that may help as well.

ACF 50 is the new improved WD 40, and worth the money IMHO
